1 Year.

My heart overflows as I type this post.  ONE year ago today we stepped off a plane and became a family of seven.  This picture below perfectly captures our hearts.  Minutes after our children met Zahra for the first time, united at last walking out to meet the crowd that had gathered to welcome us home.

I had planned on having my blog-over completed and Zahra's whole adoption video completed but alas that hasn't happened.  I've been busy with children and work!  I do need to update pictures on here in a big way!  :)  SOON!  In the meantime I'll post our video from meeting Z and coming home, this was the video we shared at church.

April 2011 - 30 lbs and 37 inches

April 2012 - 38 lbs and 46 inches

Zahra has learned English, is in a pre-K program at a local church pre-school, loves life, her siblings, and her parents.  Zahra is an amazing singer and wants to be a worship leader someday.  Z has a quick wit and understands jokes better then any other 5 year old I've met.  She can be gullible at times but this little lady is a hoot.  We're so thankful for her!

What a difference a year makes!

Zahra Belaynesh Reign I am so incredibly blessed to be your mama. This past year has been a battle as we figure each other out, we've rejoiced, we've cried, we've laughed. You are one very brave girl. Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you, so blessed by your courage and strength. God has big plans for your life precious girl. This has been a big year for you and us, we're so thankful that God sovereignly grafted you into our family! You've come a long way little princess, we know Gods not done with us yet. We love you beautiful girl!! 

 Thank you Jesus for sweet Zahra, we're honored that you've call us to be her parents, that you've entrusted us with her life, we're grateful, blessed beyond measure and we pray that our lives would always bring YOU glory.
