While They Wait.

Some things in life just suck. Yes, I said it. Often times that's what we need to hear when we're struggling. Not the "oh it'll be okay" or "this is just a season" or "it'll be over soon" or "God's in control". Yes, all of those things may be true but honestly some things won't be okay and that doesn't mean Gods not in control.

When life has struggles having others to walk it out with you is often the best medicine. Not just pat you on the back and say it'll be okay but to actually struggle with you, to cry with you, to battle with you. To carry the burden with you, to cover you in prayer, to spend time with you, to talk about it if they need to, and to truly bear that pain together.

Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. Galatians 6:4

Its an honor and a joy to do that with some dear sisters/brothers who are fighting for their children. As we head into the weekend I had a fun tutorial I was going to post but I just couldn't. Families are hurting, they are struggling to keep their focus as their heart aches for their children. I have posts to write for fund raising families and how you can support them. That'll come Monday and into next week.

Today I'm asking that you remember the precious families waiting on embassy clearance, waiting for MOWA letters, and those who have received devastating news in regards to their wait or even if they are going to be able to bring their children home. Families gearing up for a long wait as their cases are sent for further review.

Will you join me in praying for these families? I know there are at least 15-20 families that I know of facing uncertainty either in their adoption all together or in their extended wait.

do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. Philipians 4:6

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 1Thessalonians 5:16-18

Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. Romans 8:26

This quote from Martin Luther King Jr. seems all to appropriate.

I have a dream that one day every valley shall be exalted, every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made straight and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed and all flesh shall see it together.

Until they are all home, lifting each one of you up!

Erica, I don't even know you, and I know that you don't know our story, but this post was so touching to me. We went to court June 15th for a sibling group of 2 sisters. We are still waiting due to orphanage closure issues. I and the other 11 families affected from our agency would covet your prayers. Thanks so much for your sweet words.

Agreed, agreed, agreed. It is funny that you made this post, as it is what is so heavily on my heart. We are praying this week about how to start an adoptive family support group at our church. I look forward to the your follow-up posts, as we are looking for ideas for fundraising and just general love and support for adoptive families. :)

I will join you. I know the wait and the uncertainty of the process all too well...My brothers and sister in Christ literally held up my arms when I just couldn't anymore.... And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.Romans 8:28

Oh, as my heart aches for our own approval letter, it is further burdened for the families who are encountering even bigger delays and issues. Thanking you for praying for all families at our various stages.....and joining you in praying for the hearts of the many children and families who have such uncertainty hanging over them. May God continue to protect and provide for all of the children and their families!!!!! Love your heart, girl! =)

This is a great verse to remember and dwell upon. Thanks for the uplift today! And praying for all those in limbo.
