Things kids say.

The kids have been cracking us up lately with what their little brains come up with. Thought I'd share a few. :)

David was eating his favorite candy Hot Tamales, candy of the gods he says. Skyler who hates them pipes in; no they're hot so they are candy from hell. Olivia immediately interrupts - Dear God, please punish Skyler, he hates the candy you made but I like it.

As I was brushing Olivia's hair one morning she asked me if I remembered being pregnant with her. Of course I do crazy girl I replied. Not missing a beat she said that she remembers too and what it was like being inside me. Trying not to bust a gut I asked her what she remembered. I didn't expect what I heard next. "Well mom, it was scary!" Oh, it was, how come? "Well mom when you ate food I would see it coming down and I was afraid it would fall on me." I tried to contain it but it wasn't happening. Kept in the full on belly laugh but the giggles weren't. I'm so glad she has such a lovely memory of her womb experience.

Silas told me yesterday I was his "best girl". Love that boy. :)

An afternoon at the park as a family, David was helping Silas on the jungle gym. This conversation ensued.

Boy on the playground: Is that your son?

David: Yes, he is!

Boy: He is?

David: He sure is!

Silas: And I'm his dad.

Boy: Oh.

I hope you don't mind that I've put a link to your blog on ours. I'd love our adopting families to have access to as many families as possible who've also adopted from Ethiopia. Your story is beautiful!!
God's best blessings,
Becky
