Yo! Yo!

So its time for an update! Some crazy stuff going on around here and blogging has taken a back seat! I'm working furiously on our dossier documents, we're about 1/2 way there. The Simply Love T's should be here this week so I'm gearing up for a MEGA packing/shipping marathon. PLUS we have some other fun news that I'm hoping I get to share later this week. Stay tuned!

On top of all that there are some pretty AMAZING things going on in our church body, an incredible story of a young man living a life of drugs/stealing/and beating people up to get those things was transformed by Jesus in the last two months and a young man that found himself in a desperate situation needing surgery on his ear for a life threatening condtion. He had no money. No insurance. A denied medicaid application yet totally trusting the Lord to provide.

As a church community we banded together to raise the needed funds for Jasons surgery. We knew we needed at least $5,000 and we were hoping medicaid would kick in. Not the case. Last Wednesday at our community group we found out we needed to come up with $1500 in less then two days in order to proceed with the scheduled surgery. That night a face-book-a-thon was launched and a community of believers committed to giving to this cause. In less then 24 hours the $1500 was raised. In less then a week nearly $10,000 was either raised or covered by another means. The hospital cut their fee in 1/2 and then a charity through the hospital paid that 1/2. The other funds were raised through a car wash, community groups, church members, friends, and strangers. Jasons surgery is covered. Isn't that amazing?! Talk about community!

Completely paid for. Only God.

On the adoption front - our dossier fund raising is up over $2000! We only need another $2500 to hit our goal! Amazing God for sure! He is good. His timing is perfect. We rest in that. I can't even put into words the gratitude we feel. Simply humbled by His amazing provision, His love for us, His love for our daughter, and watching Him provide.

Thank you for your part in supporting us, our adoption, and our daughter.
