Thankful Hearts.

I've spent a lot of time recently thinking about all the Lord has done in the last few months and where He's brought us in regards to adoption, growing our family, and loving others I have to admit it's pretty incredible. For a couple that was done after one child to who we are today is amazing. David and I went in for our medical exams recently and the doctor asked us when we would be done adding to our family. We both looked at each other and said when God says we are. It wasn't the answer either one of us would have had two years ago. We've been "done" for awhile. Then God got a hold of our hearts and we realized there is still much to do be done here and precious children need families. We have a family and we can make a difference for one child. Or two. So can you.

Recently a friend of mine held a garage sale to raise funds for our adoption. Connie isn't just any friend. She's the friend that also gets behind your friends that are adopting and raises funds for them too. Connie is an amazing example of Jesus, her actions reflect His amazing love for us, she is such a huge encouragement in my life, I am so thankful for her heart, her wisdom, and love. Yesterday Connie posted about synergism. I was challenged yet again and thankful for her insights on so many levels. Connie my friend you inspire me, encourage me, and I'm so thankful for you.

Connie also shared about the funds that were raised at the garage sale they held for four adoptive families. Two of whom they've never met. Isn't the body of Christ amazing? Awesome. I love the picture Connie posted of her precious babies making yard sale signs! So much fun watching these three sweet kiddos work so hard to help bring our daughter and three other kiddos home to their forever families. Thank you MJ, Rebekah, and Paul!! We love you!

June is a new month, a new adventure awaits! I'm struggling not to be anxious, it feels like we are SO close to completing the dossier phase of this adoption yet so far away as we raise the remaining funds in order to submit that dossier. We're SO close! Just $2500 more is needed to officially be on that wait list! It's an exciting yet stretching place to be. I really wouldn't want to be any other place yet it can be so uncomfortable at the same time. In my quiet time this morning I ran across this verse. He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it. I Thessalonians 5:24 HE is faithful. Even when I struggle and forget for a moment who is in charge and try to push things quicker my heavenly Father reminds me that HE is faithful. I love it when scripture just pops out like it was perfectly written for me at that moment in time. Love it when my King does that. So today I claim this verse as I rest in Him. In His perfect timing.

I was feeling the need to help God push on the gas pedal and hurry things up a bit myself yesterday. And I read this blog post and it was both convicting and encouraging: http://www.stuffchristianslike.blogspot.com

Thanks for responding so quickly to my email yesterday. :)

Much love from GA.

The encouragement flows in both directions! I am so glad God brought you to camp last year to reshape an acquaintance into an iron-sharpening-iron friendship. You bless my life...it's my privilege to be pulling with you in the harness and I'm looking forward to a great harvest because as we plant and water, our Father gives the increase and HE is amazing!
