Thanksgiving Thankfulness!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

I had intended to do the 30 days of thankfulness challenge so many of my friends did but I just didn't have time to sit down and blog each day like I meant to. :( Not that I'm not thankful. I am. Truly. Grateful.

Today is a perfect day to reflect on those blessings and challenges with a grateful heart. As I reflect on the past year its amazing to me how quickly time passes.

We became a family of six this year. Traveling to Ethiopia changed our outlook on life. We have four of the most amazing children. I am so grateful for each of them. They have beautiful hearts, a genuine love for others, they protect one another and watching them all bond as siblings has been one of the most beautiful things I've witnessed. Accepting and loving each other no matter what.

This is Silas' first Thanksgiving with us and we are so excited to share our traditions with him, teach him about gratefulness, thankfulness, and watch his reaction to his first turkey and cranberry sauce.

I'm so thankful for my husband, my best friend, the man of my dreams, my knight in shining armor. He gives selflessly for our family, working hard to provide for us allowing me to stay home with our babies. His fierce love for his family is displayed in everything he does and I am more in love with this man then I was when we married nearly 12 years ago.

Most of all I'm thankful for my loving Savior who gave His son for me. Who graciously forgives me, refines me, and chastens me. His grace is sufficient for me.

Psalm 100:4 ~ Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.

Happy Thanksgiving to you all.
I couldn't help but to think about all the people in Ethiopia when we sat down to more food than needed. I so desperately wanted to open my door and say, "come". Gedese and I spoke about this while we ate. We cried.
