Heavy Hearts - Please Pray

Its amazing to me how quickly your life can change. Life changed for two dear families in our church recently.

Little Aaron Robinson is three, he was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma about two months ago and is now undergoing aggressive chemotherapy to rid his little body of this awful disease. His parents are facing this obstacle with grace and strength that only our Heavenly Father can provide. Tomorrow Aaron returns to the hospital for round 3 of Chemo. Please keep him, his parents Damon and Barbara as well as his little brother Ben in your prayers. We love you Aaron and family!

Aaron and Silas during Aaron's last round of Chemo.
Today I found out one of my sweet youth girls has leukemia. Jesse is 16, works in Silas' 3 year old class at church and loves children. She is beautiful inside and out, just one of those kids you adore. Quiet in spirit, a great sense of humor, and a joy. David and I went up to the hospital and spent some time with Jesse and her fam. We laughed, we cried, but despite the diagnosis Jesse is staying strong. She knows God is in charge of her life and she's resting in that. Tomorrow Jesse will undergo a bone marrow biopsy and chemo will begin Tuesday. Please pray for her, her family, and friends. We love you Jesse!!

Jesse and her older sister Dakota are super close.

Reminds us of how thankful we ought to be and to take nothing for granted. It's hard when this type of news is so close to your home/church family. My mom was diagnosed with kidney cancer in 2003 and it was already progressed...She did finally agree to have surgery - 3 years later - (long story between)but God did amazing things and saved her life. God can do anything. Speaking & praying His word, trusting Him radically, standing on the Blood covenant provisions - these work even when medicines and surgeries may fail.

I have been praying for these families. Thanks for the reminder. I cried yesterday. It's overwhelming. It's great to know that God's in charge, and not us.

Erica,

I have been praying for Aaron and I will add Jesse. Does Jesse have a caring page like Aaron's family? I like keeping up with what is going on w/ Aaron that way.
