Today is Ethiopian Christmas!! Today is also my buddy Rachel's birthday and she is in Ethiopia getting ready to head home with her daughter Abby. (Happy Birthday Friend!) So incredible! God is so good, His timing perfect and we are SO excited to have them home tomorrow. How fun to be in Ethiopia celebrating Christmas with your new daughter. What a gift!
We have had the four state side Walser kids while Joe and Rachel finalize Abby's adoption and bring her home to her family. It's been so fun. Probably our best hang out yet. A little crazy. We love these kids!! Yes. They now confirm I'm certifiably insane when it comes to the level of cleanliness required to make mama happy. However, they are alive, they are fed, they have clean clothes, and we've managed to stay on top of school. I know they are SUPER excited to meet their sister and we are too! She and Zahra are friends and knowing that they will have each other is amazing. Only a story God could write. We are so blessed.
Here's a picture of the crazy crew! See. I told you they were alive. :) Can't wait to see little Abby and Zahra in this picture! We are family....All my brothers and sisters with me.....Love it!
Oh, ever wondered what it was like to feed 8 kids?! Breakfast. Try 2 dozen eggs, two lbs. of hash browns, a gallon of orange juice, a lb of bacon, a lb of sausage = happy and fed children. :)
