His Timing. Our Good.

dos·sier \ˈdȯs-ˌyā, ˈdäs-; ˈdȯ-sē-ˌā, ˈdä-\Definition: a file containing detailed records on a particular person or subject ~ Or "all the papers we've worked so hard to get absolutely perfect, which are now authenticated and what is required to be matched with our daughter."

I never ever ever thought it would take 2.5 months for our I171H to come. Never. I do know the one who is in charge of this time line and I know that God has our daughter hand picked. I need a daily reminder of that. In that long wait I didn't want to just wait. I wanted to wait well. Wait on Gods timing, His ways are higher then mine, His plans are always for my good and His glory. Despite our frustrations I always want to be a reflection of our King. I wish I could say I always waited well. Honestly I got frustrated at the end. VERY frustrated. Once I came out of that funk I realized how often I must grieve my Heavenly Father. I was frustrated over people and their lack of concern. I wonder how often my King gets frustrated with me over the same things. I tried to remember that thought process to continuously remind myself each and every time I wanted to scream about the issues with USCIS. Ultimately we were blessed with a very sweet officer (who was gone ALOT) and her supervisor was amazing. Things were completed and they even faxed me my I171H so we could move forward. Praise the Lord! God is continually working on me in the area of patience and His timing. My hearts desire is to fully lean on Him and Him alone.

For the revelation awaits an appointed time;
it speaks of the end
and will not prove false.
Though it linger, wait for it;
it will certainly come and will not delay.
Habakkuk 2:3

Our documents were authenticated and mailed back on the same day and TODAY we mailed our completed dossier to our agency. They will have it first thing Monday morning! That portion of this adoption process is complete. The feeling is surreal, exciting, a huge relief, and now we set in for the final stretch of waiting to see who our sweet girl is. We have been so blessed by the support of our friends, family, and perfect strangers. Watching as God has provided each step of the way is humbling, amazing, and such a blessing. The Lord is challenging us, breaking us, and working in so many ways through this adoption. This is so not about us, our daughter, or our family but ALL about our King and His love for us. It is an honor and a privilege to be able to walk this out, to bring a precious child into our family to love forever.

This Fed Ex guy said he'd never had his picture taken at his job before. He was a fantastic sport!
Our little gals paperwork all ready to go!

We would covet your prayers for our daughter. We don't know who she is, we don't know what is going on in her life right now but we do know she's born based on our agency's time line and the age we've requested. Pray for her birth family, pray for her little heart, and pray for peace. Thinking about the joy we will experience in gaining a daughter also levels me to tears as I think about the pain that the mother who loved her first will go through for my joy. I'm thinking about that a lot these days.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philipians 4:6-7

Thank you for being a part of what God is doing in our lives.

In case you're keeping track, we've sold 62 puzzle pieces in our latest fund raiser so far! That means just 37 more and we'll have a HAT winner! PLUS an awesome new addition was made! A dear dear friend has donated a 25 inch Ethiopian cross to our passel of items!

Have a happy weekend all!!

Oh man, I bet you were happy! Our agency has said we don't have to have USCIS approval to get on the waitlist, but I know several agencies do require that.

Praying...Erica <3

This morning, I was reading Romans where it says the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace. Though surely pumped to hold your little girl, your life clearly is controlled by Him - and He is pleased :)
