Facebook-A-Thon Finale!

Let me just say it's been an amazing last couple of weeks.

But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for
joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you.
Psalm 5:11

We received our completed home study last week. I spent an entire day making a bunch of copies in order to send them off to various grant agencies, etc. I also sent an original off to USCIS. They have had it in their hands for a few days now. Bring on the fingerprint appointment!

We have all of our documents completed for our dossier that I can do. (we're waiting on one reference) Yes that includes all of the authentications from out of state as well. Praise the Lord!! We're waiting on the "golden ticket" in order to submit all of the paperwork I've been compiling for the last three months. (really its been done for awhile, I was waiting on the home study but anyways) Once we have that little precious document we'll get all of the Florida documents authenticated and it will be ready to head on out to St. Louis. INCREDIBLE. Really that doesn't even begin to touch on how amazing it is to be at this point. Only God.

There's one small little detail. In order to get all of our documents authenticated we need $400 and in order to mail our dossier we need $4100. That's where the $4500 on our fund raising ticker comes in. We're still short about $750. We should have our fingerprint appointment date in less then a week and if all goes well our I-171H shouldn't be too far behind. We'll have the documents authenticated within 24-48 hours of that and once those are back in my hands I'll immediately make copies and mail that bad boy off to St. Louis!

INCREDIBLE!!!

Will you partner with us to raise the remaining necessary funds to complete this phase of the adoption? So many of you already have. Some of you have committed to walking this out with us for the duration of our adoption. We are so incredibly blessed to have you on this journey with us. To have you investing in the life of our daughter, making a difference in her life and in ours. I feel at times like we're a broken record, yet I'm reminded that this is a place of humility as we lay our needs out publicly. On the other side I'm also thankful for this place the Lord has us in. To refine us for our good and His glory. There will be no question on who provided to bring our daughter home. God and God alone!

If you can't donate will you partner with us in fervent prayer for Gods continued provision for this adoption? We're still needing to raise about $22,000 for referral fees, travel and transportation in country. Thank you.

For the next 48 hours (midnight July 14 - 11:59pm July 15) we're having a facebook-a-thon to raise that last bit of funds in order to submit our dossier.

Its pretty simple. 75 people giving $10 and we're at our goal. Anything helps, no amount is too little. It all adds up. We have an ongoing change-for-a-life baby bottle fund raiser - talk about amazing! People have given their pennies that have been cluttering their change jars. Those pennies (nickels, dimes, and quarters too of course) have added up to over $98! What an amazing testimony that each little bit plays a part in this bigger picture.

Even if you can't donate will you consider spreading the word and reposting on your facebook or blog?

Just copy and paste this below for facebook.

Do you have $10? Your $10 can be used to change a child's life forever. Help us bring our daughter home! Visit http://itstheroadlesstravelled.com or donate directly through paypal to shubinadoptionfund@gmail.com

Thank you in advance for your support. We'll leave this post at the top of our blog for 48 hours. God already has this figured out. He knows where the funds will come from. For His glory alone.

I have set the Lord continually before me; because He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
Psalm 16:8

Erica, I stumbled upon your blog last night after starting at one and reading through about 10 more! I would love to support you and your family as you go to get your little one. Do both the simply love shirts and the where you live shirts go toward your fundraising?

Congratulations! We just got our approval from our agency and are about to begin the homestudy. I. Am. Terrified. The homestudy looks like the scariest part to me. So completing it is no small feat, way to go!

I just made a donation thru paypal to help bring your daughter home. Now we only need 74 more people to donate $10!!!

My husband and I are just starting our journey to Ethiopia and will be fund raising also. I am so looking forward to see how God is going to provide for your family in the next 24 hours.

Blessings to you
