Waiting.

I know that patience is not my virtue. God did a fine job of reminding me of this during our adoption process which is a huge hurry up and wait kind of deal. As I watch several friends learning the reality of waiting in this process I'm reminded of learning to not only wait but to wait well. God always seems to have something in my life where I need to wait on HIS timing and not mine. Even now I'm in a season of waiting. Gods in charge and I rest in His perfect timing in all things. I recently went back through my journal of waiting for Silas and found my favorite verse during that time.

"But these things I plan won't happen right away. Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled. If it seems slow, be patient! For it will surely take place. It will not be late by a single day." Habakkuk 2:3

Waiting well is so important, and so difficult at the same time. But we are all in a season of waiting for something, and it's so important to spend our time being productive during the wait.

Great post. :-D

Love this and my heart needed to hear that today!! Love ya girl! Praying during OUR season of waiting and praying we wait well :)

I remember my lesson through Cana's adoption was not patience as we so often think is our lesson to be learned during a spell of waiting but it was endurance...enduring the wait and enduring it well. God often pressed deeply into my heart "How are you enduring this wait...a wait that is necessary...are you going to wait well or are you going to wrestle with me through the entire process?"
