10: 19/365

Tonight we had a small celebration with our church family. A celebration of what the Lord is doing in our midst and also a time of prayer and a bit more intimate "charge" for those of us going to Ethiopia. We also spent time in prayer for some of the specific needs of the trip, us individually, and going over some logistics. I love what this picture represents as Joe challenges us, encourages us, and then prays over us.

There are a couple things you can pray for.

1. Nathan (12) needs healing. His strep throat has been resistant to anti-biotics and he needs to be at least on the road to healing if he's to go on this trip. We believe our God can and will heal him if its in His will. Glory to our King no matter the outcome.

2. Safety. We're a bigger group traveling with kids across the world. We covet your prayers.

As the spiritual warfare continues this is the prayer of our hearts. May each of us grow in our faith as we are challenged. May we lean in even closer to our Savior no matter what comes our way. Our strength comes from Him and Him alone.

Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. James 1:2-4

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. - Acts 1:8

Erica - I got our shirts today and we love them! I was very convicted to let you know I will use this shirt as a reminder to pray for your family every time I see it.
