Happy EasterVersary!

He's ALIVE! Bruised and beaten for you and me, the grave couldn't hold him. He's RISEN that we may live eternally.

Today is also our 12th anniversary. Crazy amazing that twelve years ago I married my best friend. Crazy amazing I love him more today then I did then. Crazy amazing how God has knit our hearts as one. Crazy amazing that we have FOUR kids! Crazy amazing that we are starting a new adventure. (more on that in another post) Crazy amazing that even through our ups, downs, happy times, sad times, life, death, and everything in between we're stronger now then we've ever been. Only through the grace of our loving Savior are we where we are today. Thank you Father for your grace and mercy poured out on us. I love you babe.

I kidnapped my hubby at the airport this past week and took him away to a swanky hotel for the night. We have some pretty great friends that kept our kids so this was possible. Thank you Harrells and Travis! We walked around Scottsdale, the resort, and just had time together. Thank you Scott for the AWESOME hotel! Loved it! Its been rough having David traveling so much, this was much needed respite.

Friday night we were kicked out of the house by our sweet kids. They had some plans of their own. Nichol called and said we had to give them a five minute warning when we were coming home. How cute are they!?!? We called and as soon as we pulled up Skyler came out to carry our things. He was all dressed up and hair combed. (unusual for this wild ten year old) Inside the house was dark aside from the 30 candles they had lit all over the kitchen/dining room. They had baked brownies and even decorated the table. Wine glasses and all! Nichol made fresh lemon water and they rummaged an old bottle of champagne out of the back fridge!

It was so sweet to see them working together, even if the little ones were banished to the wall, hands to their sides while Nichol and Skyler dished up desert. :) I tried to get pictures but it was just too dark and the ones I did get didn't turn out so well.

I did manage to get this sweet faced "waiter"asking if I'd like some lemon water. Isn't he cute?! Nichol redressed all the kids from the day, they looked GREAT.

Kids - Daddy and I love you all so so much. Thank you for making our day special and for all the hard work you put into Friday night. You guys are the BEST kids around! (yes, my opinion counts) :)
