Silas' Birthday Party Wrap Up - Heavily Photographed

What a great weekend! My sweet inlaws flew in to celebrate Silas' birthday with us. Silas had no idea what to expect and couldn't get enough of his "party" day. It was so fun to see things through his eyes, his first party just for him. Gifts just for him. He loved it.

A big thank you to all of our friends and family who celebrated with us and made this day truly memorable.

Silas loves Dinosaurs, Spiderman, and Trucks. We had to do all three but when it came to picking out his cake he simply asked for chocolate happy birthday balloons. I'm really prefer all matchy perfect but Silas doesn't and this day was about him. We loved it. A sampling of food including misir wat and injera. Silas demonstrated the proper way to eat Ethiopian food and it brought joy to my heart to watch him proudly share this with his friends.

His day in pictures.

Thank you Josh for playing football with the boys!
While the littles jumped!

Thank you Lauren and Nichol for face painting! You girls ROCK!

Uh-oh.....
No more balloons. :(

The celebration continues!

A mom and her boy. No matter how grown up. :)
Yes, I left the cake in the box....it was windy....call it candle protection. ;)
So excited while we sing.

Way to go little man!

We love you Harrells!

Silas and Ruhama - sweet friends for life.
He loves his dino from the Abbotts! We missed you guys, love you bunches. Silas was looking all over for Chloe when we said this gift was from Chloe and Evan. He wanted to know where they were.
Teacher Rachael.

Silas is excited to be four. Today when I asked if he would like to go get the mail with me he said "sure, can I drive"? I replied "uh no son, your four". He said "I know I'm four and I can drive now cause I'm big." I quickly told him he had to be sixteen to drive. He's told everyone we've come in contact with that he gets to drive when he's sixteen. Lovely.

Ha HA!! I love all the pics! Thanks for posting them! I wish I could have been there, and does the rest of the fam. I like that you put a pic of him with the dino, the kids saw and it, and they said "Hey we got that for Silas! How'd he get it in Arizona? We didn't drive down there?!" Then I had to explain the wonders of the post office. (in this case your In-laws on a plane) but I think they got the picture. It looks like you guys had loads of fun! YEAH!
