Ethiopia, Africa Bracelets, & A Sweet Girl

David and I have been blessed with truly amazing kids. I'm humbled when I look at them and see their love for others, their love for Christ, and their desire to do more. If they learn nothing else from David and I we pray they learn to love God with all their heart and to love others like Jesus would.

With my upcoming trip to Ethiopia my oldest two children want to go with me worse then anything. We plan to take them in the near future, we want our whole family to go back to this beautiful country some day. Just not yet.

Knowing we were fundraising my sweet daughter Nichol came up with the idea of bracelets several months ago. We finally went bead shopping and she ran with it. They are simple but cute. Perfectly from the heart of an 11 year girl with a passion for orphans, a love for Ethiopia, and a selfless devotion to helping others. Despite wanting to go to Ethiopia with me, knowing she couldn't she still wants to help. I love her heart for others and I thank the Lord for placing that compassion and love in her, someday she will go with us to Ethiopia.

Several people have asked to see them, Nichol has quite a few "orders" she is filling now and loving this little project. I help her with tying them and we bead together when she needs help. Its been an awesome time of talking, mother daughter bonding, and watching her excitement with every sale. All the proceeds from the bracelets go directly towards funding my trip in January. This includes the donations we'll be buying that are needed at the various orphanage's, children's homes, or items to give the children we meet on the streets.

Our yard sale went well, we didn't make as much as we'd hoped but every little bit counts. I need to raise a bit over $1500 in less then a month to be able to purchase the plane ticket. God will provide! A BIG Thank you to those who have donated, came to our sale, donated items, and bought bracelets. To God be ALL Glory, Honor, and Praise!

And the bracelets!

Bracelets are $2 each plus $1.00 shipping for up to two bracelets, if you live locally you are welcome to pick up or we can deliver them. Each bracelet comes packaged in a small plastic jewelry bag. Custom requests are great, there are a couple more she's working on but these are the only ones she has done that I could take pictures of. If you want something specific I'm sure she can do that too. All bracelets are sized xs - xl - I have a paypal account - if you are interested you can email me at erica.shubin@gmail.com - thank you all for your support!
