Ten years ago today we welcomed our second child. Our sweet boy Skyler made his grand entrance just one hour and twenty eight minutes after we walked through the hospital doors. Skyler is such an awesome kid! He's the quietest of our brood and very content with whatever circumstances he's in, it took him a week to come up with anything he even wanted for his birthday! This year has been full of changes for our whole family but Skyler was definitely the most excited about having a brother. He was so adamant that we adopt a boy! He loves his baby brother SO much! The bunk bed thing......guess who's still sleeping with his big brother? Yup!
Just Born!
Just Born!
5 Days Old.
Your Big Sister Loves you!
You had some SERIOUS Kramer hair going on for awhile. I didn't want to cut it because you were so little. You and your sweet cousin Georgie are just six weeks apart, you both celebrated having your first brother this year. Doubling the male grandchildren on daddy's side. You are both so proud of your little brothers.
You loved hiding in the cupboards!
A definite mama's boy - yes that is absolutely OKAY!
Dad was always your favorite for the rough housing.
Gramma played dress up with you and Nichol then surprised Daddy and I with sweet pictures.
One of the only times we got daddy to dress up as a cowboy for our VBS float.
You helped Gilmer drive the tractor.
We always had fun at the beach! You loved being buried in the sand.
Family camp with Gramma and Dzeda was so much fun, we all went on the canoe, you loved it!
Your kindergarten year you had your first girlfriend. Sweet Maddy, she was taller then you but you were such a gentleman, you were two peas in a pod.
Skyler we love you, your amazing ability to think things through, ponder them, and understand them is truly a gift from God. Your dad and I stand amazed as we watch your brain pick apart scripture, the questions you come up with and the deep desire you have to do what is right thrills our hearts. You have the softest heart, sincere compassion, we thank God for entrusting you to us. We are honored to parent you, excited to see what God has for you in the next ten years. We love you son!

Happy Birthday Sky. I am blessed to have you as my friend. Thank you for being you. I thank God for you and our friendship. I can not wait to see how our friendship grows. I know that you are 1 year older than me almost exactly but I feel like we are the same age. We get along so well. My Mom says we are like two peas in a pod. Have a great time in Oregon.

That was really fun talking to Skyler on his birthday, he's so articulate.
I was telling David about Skyler's wild hair when he was first born it cracks me up. :-)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SKYLER!!!
I love all your kids. They have each amazed me so much in the time I've known them. But I don't think that there is another person I've met with the understanding of people that Skyler has. Such a big thinker with a big heart.
I love you Sky---
Happy Birthday.
